This week we’re highlighting one of the most versatile of our products: the humble ham. Our hams are sourced from Kitto’s Devon Hams in Plymouth. They are premium quality and full flavoured. They are available in retail slices as well as whole joints.
These recipes include a delicious take on arancini, a comforting carbonara and quick breakfast/lunch muffins. Enjoy!
Ham & Mozzarella Arancini
We are big lovers of risotto and when coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried we are in heaven! This recipe is hugely adaptable and anything kicking around in the cupboard can be added. We like classic flavours with our Premium Devon Ham and mozzarella for added gooey-ness!
Ham Carbonara
The last few days of storms and hunkering down inside have made us crave comfort food. For me a classically decadent carbonara really hits the spot. It is super quick and easy to make so is a great midweek meal plus it can be adapted to suit whatever you fancy and whatever is in your fridge. We like making this with our honey roast ham and extra garlic but make this your own however you like.
Ham & Blue Cheese Tart
This tart has serious summer vibes but we’re getting ever closer to those warmer days and long summer nights – we can’t wait! If you can’t either try this delicious ham & blue cheese tart. We like it with our Premium Devon Ham and Devon Blue cheese which adds a complex buttery, sweet flavour. Again this is a quick and simple recipe and any leftovers (as if there would be any!) can be eaten for lunch the next day.
Ham & Egg Muffins
Is anyone else noticing a theme here! Ham and cheese are such a good combo that every recipe here features them! These easy egg muffins are exactly what they say on the tin and a great breakfast/lunch option. We like these with our Honey Roast Ham and Cornish Medium Gouda; the combined sweetness and creamy flavour of the cheese work as a nice contrast with the eggs, spring onion and chives.
