We’re incredibly proud to stock an array of delicious locally made products and we’re even prouder when these products are validated with awards. 

The Food Drink Devon Awards celebrate the very best food, drink and hospitality that Devon has to offer and this year we were delighted to learn that many of our products scooped top awards. Read on to discover the award-winning products!

Award Winners

* Bays Brewery *

Bays Brewery are a family run brewery based in beautiful Torbay. Brewed to perfection their range of ales and craft beers have been delighting discerning drinkers for more than a decade and this year they won five awards from Food Drink Devon!

The award-winners were Devon Rock Craft Lager and Devon Dumpling Golden Ale which both won Gold while the Devon Cove Pale Ale scooped a Silver.

* Kitto’s Ham *

Kitto’s ham produce their fine quality cooked hams from Plymouth and now supply throughout the UK. They are committed to ensuring a consistent flavour throughout their range of hams which are tender and succulent. 

This year the award-winning Kitto’s products were Gold for their Devon Cured Premium Ham and the Honey-Roast Ham! Both of these are available to order from us in whole joints as well as ready sliced for retail.

* Sharpham Dairy *

Sharpham have been producing their small range of artisan cheeses for over 40 years. Based on the Sharpham Estate near Totnes they are passionate about creating delicious cheeses and more recently, in collaboration with fellow local producers Highfield Preserves, chutneys and marmalades. 

Sharpham are multiple award-winners and at this year’s Food Drink Devon awards they won Gold for their Cremet (a rich goat’s cheese enriched with cow’s double cream), Rustic Plain (a light cow’s milk cheese with a slight citrus flavour) and the Rustic with Dulse and Sea Lettuce (a variation on the original rustic with a subtle savoury flavour due to the addition of dulse & sea lettuce). 

They also won Gold this year for their Red Onion, Rosemary & Thyme Marmalade. This year we will be including some of the Sharpham chutneys in our Christmas range. Look out for more info soon!

* Bell & Loxton *

Bell & Loxton are producers of cold pressed rapeseed oil which is grown, pressed and bottled on the family farm near Kingsbridge in Devon. Their oils have a clean and fresh taste with a slight nuttiness and are perfect for cooking; from stir fries to roasts and everything in-between. 

This year they won Gold awards for their three varieties: Original Rapeseed, Garlic Rapeseed and Basil Rapeseed oils. All are available in individual bottles, click here for more info.

* Alder Vineyard *

Alder Vineyard are a family owned vineyard producing a range of English wines using grapes grown on their estate on the edge of Dartmoor. The first vines were planted over ten years ago and today the vineyard hosts tours, tastings and has an onsite restaurant and shop. 

This year Alder Vineyard won a Gold award for their Madeleine Angevine, a delicate and fruity wine with tropical notes. It pairs beautifully with our wonderful Devon seafood or chicken.

* Waterhouse Fayre

Waterhouse Fayre are producers of delicious jams, chutneys and marmalades from their purpose built kitchen in Tiverton. Their range includes traditional favourites as well as new and innovative varieties.

Their preserves are multi award-winning and over the years they have built up quite a reputation. This year is no exception with their Lemon Curd winning a Gold award and the Seville Marmalade scooping a Silver at the Food Drink Devon awards.
