In the run up to Christmas we’ve been selecting our top picks from our 2021 Christmas brochure.
This year has been a strange one and I think we can safely say that we all need to let off a bit of steam and properly celebrate with friends and family. For a lot of people celebration is synonymous with alcohol so we’ve got you covered here. Growing trends also suggest that more people than ever are turning to soft drinks so we’ve got some selections for you too!
Wine – We only began stocking an alcohol range last year but it seems to have taken off! We currently have a range of wines on offer from Sharpham and Alder Vineyard, both producing delicious varieties here in Devon. From Sharpham we have the DART VALLEY RESERVE and SPARKLING PINK, both available in individual 75cl bottles as well as cases of 12x 75cl for the Dart Valley and 6x75cl for the Sparkling Pink. For those seeking bubbles for the festive season we also have the SPARKLING PINK available in individual 75cl bottles and cases of 6x75cl. From Alder Vineyard we have the WHITE MADELEINE and the RONDO ROSE which are both available in individual 75cl bottles and cases of 6x75cl.
Beer & Cider– For a small county Devon has an impressive range of breweries. We stock a range from Hanlons Brewery including the PORT STOUT which is great with cheese, STORMSTAY, a smooth amber ale and YELLOW HAMMER, a golden refreshing ale. Bays Brewery in Paignton also supply us with their beers. Their range includes the DEVON ROCK craft lager, DEVON COVE pale ale and TOPSAIL, a premium amber ale. Sandford Orchard are producers of traditional Devon cider. We stock their classic DEVON RED, DEVON MIST and RIB TICKLER ciders as well as the FANNYS BRAMBLE and DEVON SCRUMPY.
These are all available in individual 500ml bottles as well as cases of 12x500ml.
Spirits – Getting into the Christmas spirit – see what we did there! – we’ve found these to be the bestsellers over the last year and what better time to try these locally sourced varieties than at Christmas? DEVON COVE VODKA, DEVON COVE DAMSON LIQUER and DEVON COVE COFFEE LIQUER are all available in both 50cl and 20cl bottles. EXETER GIN and GRANDAD’S ALLOTMENT RHUBARB GIN available in 70cl bottles. DEVON RUM available in both 70cl and 20cl bottles.
We also have some beautiful spirit gift sets which would make a great present and well deserved treat for someone you love. EXETER GIN MINI SET (3x5cl), EXETER GIN GRANDAD’S GIFT PACK (3x5cl) and DEVON RUM 20cl in a hand stamped gift bag.
Soft Drinks and Mixers – If you’re completely tee total or just like a little break from the hard stuff every now and then we’ve got you covered. New soft drinks now available from Frobishers juices and Folkington’s tonic water. Juices include ORANGE, BUMBLEBERRY, GRAPEFRUIT, MANGO and PINEAPPLE available in cases of 24x250ml bottles. Folkington’s artisan tonic mixers are available in the following varieties: INDIAN TONIC WATER, ENGLISH GARDEN TONIC WATER, EARL GREY TONIC WATER and DRY GINGER ALE. All available in packs of 8x150ml cans. We also have soft drinks available from Sandford Orchard including APPLE JUICE, LEMONADE and GINGER BEER available in individual 275ml bottles and cases of 20x275ml.
