The Best Devon Producers – as judged by the Food Drink Devon awards 2025!
Last week we were lucky enough to attend the Food Drink Devon awards with our West Country Olives. These awards celebrate the best Devon producers across food and drink as well as hospitality venues.
We are incredibly lucky here in Devon to be surrounded by some great producers and we wanted to highlight some of our products which won awards as well as some of our customers. Congratulations everyone and here’s to continuing to highlight the best Devon produce!
West Country Olives
We had to start with our sister company West Country Olives who scooped two Gold awards for their Classic Blend and Feta Fusion olives!
West Country Olives have been producing for nearly 5 years – a product of Covid! – and since then have managed to win an array of awards for their delicious olives. We’re biased of course but their olives are favourites with our customers and we’ve seen first hand at trade shows this summer how much people love them!
The Classic Blend are a combination of Mammoth Halkidiki and Kalamata olives mixed with rapeseed oil and herbs. The Feta Fusion are a new flavour and combine local Feta from Stone Tree Dairy with oregano and rapeseed oil.
They have deservedly been recognised as one of the best Devon producers this year!
Curworthy Cheese
We have been working with Curworthy for many years now and this year myself and Charlotte were able to go and spend the day with Richard to see more of the cheese-making process. We even made our own cheese and it just so happened that that cheese, the Goatworthy, won Gold! Coincidence?!
The Goatworthy is made to the same original recipe as their Curworthy cheese just with goats milk instead of cows. It is a sweet and delicate goats cheese which is a crowd pleaser among goats cheese lovers and haters alike!
Their Gold award shows that Curworthy are certainly one of the best Devon producers!
Georgie Porgie’s Puddings
Tis ‘nearly’ the season! This year Georgie Porgie’s Puddings won a Platinum award for their Classic Christmas pudding!
George has been producing his award-winning puddings in East Devon for the last 30 years. Their puddings, which aren’t just for Christmas, sell well for us throughout the year but particularly as the weather turns colder. Enjoy with some Langage clotted or double cream for a real Devon treat.
The Heavi Deli
Only established last year we were delighted to see The Heavi Deli win Best Retailer at the awards!
Owen and Kate are passionate about bringing local produce to Heavitree and it is a pleasure to be able to supply them with some of the best Devon produce from our unit nearby.
Pop in to stock up on local cheeses, juices, lemonades, olives, pork pies and more!
They also serve delicious coffees, cakes and lunches in their cafe so make sure to check them out.
Frobishers Juices
We have only been stocking Frobishers Juices for a few years but they have become staples of our range. Based around the corner from us here in Exeter we stock their delightful range of juices including the bestselling Orange and Apple as well as more unusual Bumbleberry and their sparklers.
They picked up the Sustainability Pioneer award for their dedication to ensuring sustainability across their products proving that they are one of the best Devon producers!
