Description
This French Onion Soup is an excellent example of the form: slow-cooked caramelised onions enriched with fragrant bay leaves and garlic which are simmered in a carefully balanced chicken stock. To elevate this to even tastier heights simply top with a slice of bread (keep with the French theme and use French baguette!), add some grated cheese (we recommend an Emmental or Gruyere) and finish under the grill. This is pure comfort in a bowl.
