Description
Halloumi is traditionally made in Cyprus, a semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goat’s and sheep’s milk, and occasionally cow’s milk. It has a high melting point and so can easily be fried or grilled. It is commonly garnished with mint leaves which results in a firmer texture and fresher flavour; fragments of these leaves can be seen on the surface of some packaged cheese.
