We’ve just released our brand new product guide and to celebrate we thought we would shine a spotlight on some of our amazing producers and their delicious products, today we’re shining a light on Jessica’s Cakes!
Jessica’s Cakes are our newest supplier and a new venture for us as we have never stocked cakes or scones before. So far though our customers are loving them and with such a variety of delicious, home made treats what’s not to love!? Read on to discover more about this fantastic local business!
History
Jessica’s Cakes was established back in 1998 as a family run business based in a traditional farmhouse on the Dorset coast. Although the business has now outgrown the farmhouse kitchen, the traditional ethos remains and the recipes and baking methods are unchanged from the originals as created by the eponymous Jessica.
Jessica’s Cakes is now owned by Neil and Maria and they and their small team of passionate bakers produce a wide range of cakes, brownies, scones and other sweet treats all whilst retaining that ‘home-made’ and slightly rustic look and taste that their, and now our, customers love.
Seasonal Specialites
As well as the standard range of traditional cakes and traybakes Jessica’s Cakes also produce seasonal specialites from Christmas cake at the festive season to Simnel Cake which was a recent hit at Easter. We love that their cakes are available in whole cake form as well as in individual slices which suits our customer base of smaller community owned stores.
